What We Stand For

Welcome to Hays Praise Emmaus. We are thrilled to have you come worship with us and be part of our community of faith. We desire for you to feel at home and welcomed. We are on a journey together at Hays Praise Emmaus, exploring what the Kingdom of God looks like in the here and now as well as how to love God and one another.

Emmaus is centered on the revelation of God in Jesus Christ and how this is reflected in local churches. The goal of Emmaus is to encourage, test, and prepare people of the local church for Christian activity in their homes, churches, and places of employment.

What is the Walk to Emmaus?

The Gospel of Luke relates the story of the risen Christ appearing to two who were going along the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus. Two friends were walking together, sharing their hearts' deepest concerns. The risen Christ joined them and explained the scriptures as they walked, how it was ordained that Christ should suffer and so enter His glory.

The illuminating climax of the experience was when Christ took bread and said the blessing, then broke it and gave it to them. The two had their eyes opened and they recognized Him as the risen Christ and they rushed back to Jerusalem to tell the others. (Luke 24:13-35)

Hays Praise Emmaus is a Christ-centered community dedicated to deepening faith and discipleship through the Walk to Emmaus experience. Whether you're attending as a pilgrim or serving as a volunteer, you can expect a welcoming environment, powerful worship, and meaningful fellowship. Our goal is to support and encourage each other in our 4th Day journey, growing together in God's love.
At Hays Praise Emmaus we don't care if you've been here 8 minutes or 8 years, everyone is welcome to be part of anything they feel called to do. We are so glad that you feel called to be a part of anything we have going on. Introduce yourself, make some friends, and be a part of a movement we hope will Change the World.
Absolutely! Our community would love to pray for you. Simply click on the "Prayer Request" tab at the top of the website to submit your request. Your prayer will be shared with our community, allowing more people to lift you up in prayer.
The cost of the Walk is $180. Please don't let the cost deter you from attending. We offer scholarships that you can apply for by filling out the application form under the "Applications" tab. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding the Walk cost.
